Pixar films have been praised for several decades for a number of reasons, but the studio is now adding another achievement to its list of awards, such as 2008. Wall-E It will become the first film from the studio to join the standards group. The Criterion Collection was established in 1984 with the goal of highlighting the greatest cinematic achievements in history, and offering selected films in the highest quality possible for home video releases, evolving through various mediums. To date, less than 1,200 films in cinema history have been entered into the collection, with the upcoming release of Wall-E He brings with him a wealth of behind-the-scenes features chronicling how this beloved adventure came to be. Wall-E he is Available now for pre-order It hits shelves on November 22.
The standard describes the film, “A high watermark for digital animation, this prescient vision of a dystopian future is pieced together into a dazzling science-fiction love story, making it the urgent tale of our turbulent millennium. It’s the twenty-ninth century, and humans have long since fled from Earth to outer space, Leaving Wall•E, the last robot working to compress waste, to do the work of cleaning up a planet choked with pollution, one piece of trash at a time.When he meets EVE, a fellow robot sent to discover plant life, the pair are launched on an intergalactic mission to bring humanity back to Earth. Along with new special features, the movie has received all-new artwork from Jason Reich in celebration of his entry to the Criterion Collection.
